Our Visit to the Mary Grotto

On Tuesday, after a morning of maths assessments, we were treated to a very special class worship prepared by a group of Year 3 girls.  As part of this, the girls led us to the grotto where we sang 'As I Kneel Before You' together.  It was a lovely experience to end May, the Month of Mary.

Brass Introduction

We've been introduced to some of the brass instruments that Year 3 could learn to play from September and had lots of fun blowing raspberries in the process!

Running Wild!

In PE we've been developing our running technique with work on our starts and pacing strategies.

Our Creatures are Coming to Life!

This week Year 3 have begun decorating their creatures with acrylic paints to create vibrant rainforest colours.

Animal Athletes!

In PE on Wednesday Year 3 made the most of a beautiful sunny afternoon.

We thought about how we can take inspiration from the animal kingdom to make us faster runners.

We ran with soft knees and fast like tigers...

...and kept our bodies up tall like giraffes.

We practised developing our balance and using our arms when running.
